Terms of Service

Fix It Rob! for iPhone · Effective September 15, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Fix It Rob! ("the app", "we", "us") about your use of the app and the service behind it. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how to delete it, and is part of these terms.

The short version: Rob is an AI assistant that works from photos. Reports are planning-level estimates, not an inspection or a quote, so confirm with a licensed professional before you buy a home or start a repair. You need an account, you own your photos, and you can delete everything from Profile at any time. Rob Pro is billed through Apple and renews until you cancel.

Who can use the app

Your account

You sign in with Apple, Google, or an email address and password. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@fixitrob.app if you think someone else has used it. You may not create an account for anyone other than yourself or share one account among several people.

The app license

The app software is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. That license covers the copy of the app on your iPhone; these terms cover the service the app connects to. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the service or for supporting it.

What Rob is, and is not

Rob analyzes the photos you choose to scan and writes a report describing what it sees, likely causes, a suggested fix, how urgent it looks, and a cost range for your area. Reports are generated by an AI model from a single photo. They are not a professional inspection, an engineering opinion, a code-compliance check, or a contractor quote, and they can be wrong or incomplete. Costs are estimates for planning only.

Always confirm with a licensed professional before buying a home, making an offer, or starting a repair. If you see or smell something dangerous, such as a gas smell, sparking or exposed wiring, active flooding, or a sagging structure, leave the area and contact your utility, a licensed professional, or emergency services. Do not rely on the app in an emergency.

Your photos and other content

You keep ownership of the photos you scan and the answers you give. So that the service can work and improve, you give us permission to store them in your account, process them, send them to the providers described in the Privacy Policy for analysis and hosting, and use them to develop and improve Rob's algorithms and models as the Privacy Policy describes. When you delete the content or your account, we stop storing it and using it in your account; improvements already made to Rob and de-identified data are not reversed. You confirm that you have the right to photograph the places you scan and to share those photos with us, and you agree not to upload images of people or documents that are not needed to show the damage.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Third parties

The "Pros" feature searches Apple Maps for nearby businesses. Those businesses are independent; we do not vet, endorse, or guarantee them, and any work you hire them for is between you and them. Repairs you schedule are written to your own calendar on the device. Sign-in providers, Apple Maps, and the App Store are governed by their own terms.

Ending your account

You can stop using the app at any time. Delete Account under Profile removes your photos, reports, answers, location history, and your login from our systems immediately; it does not cancel a subscription, which you manage in iOS Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe is harming the service or other people. We may also change or discontinue features, or the service, with reasonable notice where we can give it.

Disclaimers

The app and the service are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the app, the service, or the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any report, cost estimate, or contractor result, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of property value, repair costs, lost profits, or data, arising from your use of the app or reliance on a report. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app or the service is limited to the amount you paid us through the App Store in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some places do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where we are based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live in a place whose consumer laws give you additional rights, those rights are not affected.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the effective date above will be updated, and for material changes we will let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
